Ujjain: President Ram Nath Kovind was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival here by helicopter from Bhopal on Sunday on the second and final leg of his three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, it was officially learnt. This ancient temple town is under a blanket of security owing to the First Citizen’s visit.

The Supreme Commander is being accompanied by Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Mr Kovind is scheduled to offer worship at the Mahakaleshwar shrine and grace an Ayurveda-related programme. He will return by a special plane to the national capital via Indore.
