Police arrested two people who were taking five girls to Delhi by luring them

Latehar: Mahuadand police station of Latehar district arrested two people who were taking minor tribal girls to Delhi on the pretext of getting work in another state and sent them to jail on Thursday. Giving information in this regard, SDPO Rajesh Kujur said that the villagers had informed the station in-charge Ashutosh Yadav on Wednesday that five minor tribal girls were being taken to Delhi for child labour.

Taking quick action on this, as per the instructions of SDPO Rajesh Kujur, a team was formed under the leadership of the in-charge of the station and interrogation of Kamar Munda father Haran Munda village Navatoli police station Baresand and Khushboo Kumari husband Raju Ram Palheya police station Manika was taken into custody from Medininagar bus stand. Along with them, five minor girls were freed. During interrogation, both the accused confessed to their crime.

They were about to go to Delhi by Chandan Travels bus. At the same time, the police have also recovered two mobile phones and seven tickets to Delhi from both of them. All the rescued minor girls were handed over to the Child Welfare Committee. The team constituted included police station in-charge Ashutosh Yadav, assistant sub-inspector Ranjay Kumar, female constable Gayatri Toppo, assistant female police officer Nilkamal Ekka etc.

While working in an under-construction building in Chandwa, a mason fell and got injured. According to the information received, Pramod Baitha (father Mahavir Baitha), a resident of Devi Mandap, was engaged in the construction work of the police station. During the work on Thursday, he fell down and became serious due to his foot falling in the weak part of the scaffold. He was immediately brought to the community health center Chanda. Here he was being treated.
