New Delhi: SC verdict came in 1988 road rage case related to Congress leader cum former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu in which he has been sentenced to one year prison. Earlier Sidhu got relief, but the family of the victim of road rage had filed a review petition. Hearing to which the apex court has sentenced him to one year’s rigorous imprisonment.

According to the information, this matter took place in Patiala on 27 December 1988 when Sidhu had done a gypsy park, there was an argument between the victim and Sidhu regarding its removal. Meanwhile, Sidhu beat up the young man, after which the doctor declared the victim dead on reaching the hospital. Due to this matter, objection was also registered for contesting elections. Later, the Supreme Court allowed him to contest the elections. The relatives of the deceased Gurnam Singh had filed a CD in the Supreme Court. Which is of a channel show in 2010. In which Sidhu had accepted to kill Gurnam.
