While laying the foundation stone of several mega projects, including the Bangalore-Chennai Expressway from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, the PM talked about giving priority to the development of Tamil Nadu. The PM also inaugurated 1152 houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna- Urban, Chennai Light House Project constructed with a cost of Rs.116 crore. At the same time, five projects prepared at a cost of Rs 2,960 crore were inaugurated. Along with this, PM Modi, while addressing the public from the stage, described the culture of Tamil Nadu as wonderful and described the Tamil language as global.
