Patna/Ranchi: JDU has cleared its stand regarding the Rajya Sabha elections in Bihar. Jharkhand JDU’s state president Khiru Mahto has been declared as candidate for the Rajya Sabha from Bihar. The party’s national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh has made this declaration. At the same time, Khiru Mahto had also met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in connection with his candidature to the Rajya Sabha.
Khiru Mahato has been an MLA from Mandu assembly constituency in the year 2005. He was given the command of Jharkhand State JDU in the month of September last year.
On being made the party’s Rajya Sabha candidate, the party’s state general secretary Shravan Kumar said that Jharkhand JDU expresses its gratitude to its national leaders of the party. Khiru Mahto will go to Patna on Monday to file his nomination.
