Ranchi: Discussions have intensified in the political circles of the state after the ED raids on the residence and other related places of IAS officer Pooja Singhal. The ruling party in the state, JMM, has made a strong disclosure in this regard. JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya in a press conference has revealed the fact that between 2008 and 2009, documents related to the clean chit given by the Raghuvar Das government in the investigation against Pooja Singhal in the MNREGA scheme in the name of fraud case have come to the fore. JMM’s central general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu made this document public before the media.

In the resolution dated 27 February 2017 of the Department of Personnel, Administrative and Official Language of Jharkhand government, it has been said that all the allegations against Pooja Singhal have not been proved. Along with this, an order was issued to terminate the departmental proceedings against Pooja Singhal, discharging the charges. Amarendra Pratap Singh had submitted this investigation report as the operating officer.

JMM leaders said that BJP is trying to link the ED raid with the Hemant Soren government, while the truth is that the investigation conducted against the officer in Arjun Munda’s government was given a clean chit in Raghuvar’s government. In this case then JVM was in the role of complainant. Targeting the ruling BJP, supriyo said that the then Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and the then Chief Minister Raghuvar Das should be made accused in this case. All these cases were related to the MNREGA scheme of Khunti and Chatra districts.
