Jharkhand: Lokpal appointment process also reached court in the state, alleging these disturbances

The matter of the appointment process of Lokpal in Jharkhand has also reached the High Court. People from other district were appointed

Arvind Singh (Chatra), Laxmi Prasad (Lohardaga), Dr. Prabhakar Kumar (Bokaro) and other candidates, who have applied for Lokpal, have said in the petition that according to the advertisement issued by the Rural Development Department for the Lokpal, only one of the applicants would be asked. The district was asked to apply. But there are many such candidates, who are residents of some other district, but they were selected for another district. There are eight such applicants, who are not only from that district, but only one application was received in these districts. The applicant has alleged that Poonam Kumari, selected for Godda, is a resident of Dumka. Similarly, Arunabh Kar (East Singhbhum) is a resident of West Singhbhum. Sushil Kumar Tiwari (Latehar) lives in Garhwa. Santosh Kumar Pandit (Chatra) of Garhwa, Dharnidhar Prasad Sinha (Koderma), of Giridih, Renu Verma (Bokaro) of Giridih, Dr. Sudeshwar Prasad Singh (Ramgarh) of Hazaribagh,Vinod Pramanik (Pakur) is from Sahibganj. They applied for their respective districts, but their names were fixed as Lokpal for another district.

The Development Commissioner was made the chairman in the selection committee constituted for the appointment of MNREGA Lokpal. Along with this, Secretary Rural Development, Secretary Panchayati Raj, CEO of JSLPS were kept in this. Apart from this, an official from the center was also connected online. According to the candidates, there has been a violation of the conditions fixed for the selection of Lokpal. During the interview process a short written test was conducted from the candidates. Group discussion was conducted according to the candidates. Marking will be done on the basis of certificate verification, interview.

The names of Lokpals of 20 districts have been announced.

MGNREGA (Rural Development Department) has finalized the name of Lokpal for 20 districts. On September 24, except 4 districts of the state, one name each was announced in this regard. Lokpal on interview basis for districts like Simdega, Ranchi, Palamu, Sahibganj, Pakur, Khunti, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Koderma, Giridih, Chatra, Latehar, Garhwa, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, Godda, Dumka, Dhanbad and Deoghar have been decided. Objections have also been sought from the people on the name fixed for any of these districts by October 25.

It has been said in the petition that there are 13 districts out of 20 where qualification has been neglected. Those who have maximum qualification in the respective field are sidelined. In 13 districts, 70 percent of the selected candidates are from the profession of advocacy. He has not attached a no-objection certificate regarding not practicing in the court on selection. In such a situation, higher qualification holders associated with public administration, social worker, academic and management fields could not get a chance, while preference was given to higher degree holders, those having work experience, it was said in the advertisement. A case of Palamu has come to the fore, in which a candidate belonging to a general graduate and political organization has been selected, except the candidate having degree and work experience in rural development. Similar cases are also from other districts.
