A bus with 40 passengers on board collided with a truck carrying LPG Cylinders in Pakur dist. of Jharkhand. Accident took place at around 8.30 in morning killing 17 passengers , 25 are severely injured.

The accident occurred near Padairkola village under the jurisdiction of Amrapara police station. Locals claimed that accident took place due to dense fog and high speed of Bus.

The bus with 40 passengers on board was heading to Jasidih from Barharwa in Sahibganj. Several passengers were trapped inside bus and they were recued after cutting outer frame of Bus with Gas cutters.

Fortunatly, LPG Gas cylinder in Truck didn’t exploded due to collission, else it could have taken many more lives. The impact of the accident was such that the front ends of both the vehicles got stuck to each other.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren condoled the deaths and directed district administration to take every necessary steps to ensure proper treatment of injured.

The deadbodies were lying on roads
