Ranchi: Hearing held on the SLP filed by the Jharkhand government in the Supreme Court. The matter was heard in the court by Justice UU Lalit, Justice Bhatt and Justice Dhulia. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal appeared on behalf of the government. Making the case, Kapil Sibal said that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs should have been made a party. He called the matter to be purely politically motivated and demanded that the case be quashed. In this regard, the Supreme Court said that the High Court will be asked to take a decision on the maintainability of the petition, by keeping itself aside, the SC said it will not make any comment on it.

At the same time, ED’s advocate Tushar Mehta said that ED is investigating the particular crime and we get material related to other crime. In the investigation so far, the ED found that high-ranking officers are involved in this case, which can be placed before the court.

It is noteworthy that on May 20, the Supreme Court was requested for an early hearing on the SLP, which was accepted by the court. The date for hearing was fixed for today. According to the received information, a similar case has been heard in the Supreme Court earlier. A special leave petition has been filed against the PIL filed in the Jharkhand High Court in the case of allocation of stone mining lease to Hemant Soren and investment in shell company of close friends.
