Ranchi: In order to increase the road connectivity in Jharkhand, the Central Government is constantly engaged in putting new schemes on the ground. On one hand, where green corridor from Sambalpur to Ranchi and two other expressways were approved, another discussion of making economic corridor in Jharkhand has also intensified. This corridor, which came under discussion, will be constructed from Varanasi to Lohardaga.

This road connecting Jharkhand to Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh is going to be built in five packages. In this, two important parts will be in Jharkhand state, the cost of which has been estimated at about 1500 crores. This road, which will become a four-lane, will connect with Uttar Pradesh via Kudu, Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa of Bijupara-Lohardaga in Ranchi. At present, the length of this project has been estimated at 202 km.
