Ranchi: Hemant government has taken a tough stand regarding illegal mining in Jharkhand. In an online meeting with the DCs and SPs of all the districts held at the CM residence, the CM gave instructions to stop illegal mining. In the meeting, he demanded a ban on illegal mining in every district. Along with this, ordered to ensure immediate strict action against those involved in illegal mining or mafia.
In fact, illegal mining is being done deliberately by some mining mafia so that the image of the present government can be tarnished. In the coal mining districts including Dhanbad, Ramgarh and Hazaribagh, the Chief Minister has given special instructions to the officers posted in coal and stone mining districts to check illegal mining activity.
While warning the officers, the CM has said that “if any illegal mining activities take place then the officers of the relevant districts will be held responsible”. The state government has given instructions for strict action if negligence is caught. The Chief Minister directed that the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all the districts would ensure strict action against illegal mining by running a special campaign from June 1 to June 15, 2022. After June 15, a high-level meeting related to illegal mining will be held.
