Arunachal detects 43 more COVID-19 cases

Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh continued to witness more COVID-19 recoveries than the single-day infections as 47 persons recuperated from the ailment while 43 fresh cases were detected across the state during the past 24 hours, a senior health official said.

With the detection of new cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases rose to 54,395.

Nine of the fresh cases were reported from West Kameng and seven from Lower Dibang Valley, while the worst-affected Itanagar Capital Complex registered six infections – a day after seeing zero COVID cases. Twenty-three of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 20 symptomatic.

So far, 53,802 people have recovered from the contagion including 47 in the period. With this, the state’s active caseload has further reduced to 319. Arunachal Pradesh has registered 274 Covid-19 casualties until now.

In the meantime, 12,705 persons were administered the COVID-19 vaccine doses in the state during last 24 hours that took the cumulative figure of vaccination coverage to more than 11.56 lakh. While over 7.50 lakh beneficiaries have taken the first jab of anti-COVID vaccine, nearly four lakh people have been fully vaccinated, the official said.
