Bettiah: The DM of West Champaran has succeeded in giving Bihar honor at national level. The reason for this is the work done to connect the labourers who returned home during the lockdown period imposed at the time when covid-19 was surging. DM Kundan Kumar will be honored by PM Narendra Modi for his contribution in the field of innovation on Civil Service Day.
Due to the increase in the cases of corona virus in the year 2020, another chapter has been added to the success story because of the startup zone Chanpatia started in the district with the help of district administration. It has been started by the workers who returned home due to the nationwide lockdown. During their 14-day stay in the quarantine camp of more than 80 thousand workers who returned home in lockdown throughout the district, district administration got their skill mapping done. Suggestions were taken to set up enterprises in the district.
In the process of skill mapping, their proficiency in Textile and Apparel, Footwear, Bamboo and Craft was figured out. Considering their proficiency in these areas, Udyam Mitra Mandal was formed.
