HP: Banks in Una district have distributed loans worth 278.41 crore rupees

Hamirpur/Una(HP), The banks of the district have disbursed loans worth 278.41 crores against the annual target of 2286 crores till June 2021, officials said.
This was stated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Una Dr Amit Kumar Sharma while reviewing the achievements against the targets set by the banks in the financial year 2021-22.
He said that the loan deposit ratio of the district has gone up to 38.87 per cent in the year. He said that the banks and government departments should make every effort to improve the credit deposit ratio of the banks. The ADC said that banks have issued loans to 14 beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana, out of which State Bank of India and Punjab and Sind Bank have done the maximum number of 4 each.
In the district, banks have distributed 58,052 agricultural cards to farmers till the end of June and in the first quarter, banks have distributed 501 agricultural cards to farmers. He said that 449 Kisan Credit Cards have been issued for animal husbandry, out of which 129 new cards are included in this quarter.


Dr Sharma called upon the banks to achieve the targets fixed under the Annual Credit Plan on time so that the economic needs of the people can be met. He encouraged the distribution of more and more agricultural cards, providing loans for agricultural implements, and promoting small-scale industries. Apart from this, banks were also requested to disburse loans under Mudra and Startup India scheme. All banks and government and non-government officials should contribute their best to benefit the people under the Prime Minister’s Social Security Insurance Scheme. Include more and more farmers in the Prime Minister’s crop insurance scheme. He expressed satisfaction over the achievements of the banks under the Annual Loan Scheme and asked the banks to take necessary steps to increase the deposit credit ratio. He also directed all the banks to organize two financial literacy camps every month.

On this occasion, President Zilla Parishad Neelam Kumari, Head of PNB Hamirpur Circle Vinish Chawla, Manager of District Lead Bank Jai Pal Bhanot, Director of R Shetty, Sandeep Thakur, District Development Officer, Reserve Bank of India Bharat Raj Anand, District Development Manager Arun Kumar of various banks was present.
District coordinator and government and non-official members were present.
