825 posts of History and Civics will be appointed in High Schools, Personnel Department wrote letter

The way has been cleared for the appointment of teachers in the subject of history and civics in the high schools of 10 non-scheduled districts of the state. The Personnel Department has written a letter to the Department of School Education and Literacy to complete the recruitment process for 825 posts. Now the Education Department can issue instructions from the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission to complete the recruitment process on Friday, removing the ban on the appointment process.

After this the recruitment process will start from next week and the candidates will start getting the appointment letters. After the decision to cancel the appointment process of teachers in 13 scheduled districts, the Department of School Education and Literacy had banned the appointment process of teachers of history and civics subjects in non-scheduled districts after the matter went to court.

The Education Department had written a letter to JSSC on 23 November 2020 itself, directing it to postpone the appointment process. Along with this, all the District Education Officers were also instructed not to give appointment letters to the candidates selected by JSSC at present. 

In 11 non-scheduled districts, 84 posts of History Civics subject have been appointed in Deoghar, while in the remaining 10 non-scheduled districts, the appointment process for 825 posts of this subject was postponed. In the remaining 10 non-scheduled districts, the counseling process for History and Civics subjects is almost over.

Appointment will be done in non-scheduled districts:-

Garhwa – 133 

Palamu – 136 

Hazaribagh – 52 

Ramgarh – 46 

Koderma – 40 

Giridih – 113 

Bokaro – 52 

Dhanbad – 100 

Godda – 96  

Chatra – 57
