Purnia: 8 labours died in a painful road accident in the district. The accident is of NH 57 near Seema Kali Mandir of Jalalgarh police station where a speeding truck laden with bore well pipe crashed alongside the road. A total of 15 labours were in this truck, in which 8 died on the spot while the other 7 were seriously injured. The injured labours have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment. All the labours are said to be residents of Rajasthan and were going from Tripura to Jammu and Kashmir.

The injured labours told that they do boring work and were going from Tripura to Jammu and Kashmir with pipe laden on the truck. During this, the driver fell asleep while driving due to which the truck suddenly overturned on the side of NH 57. In this accident, 8 people died on the spot while 5 people were injured. As soon as the information of the accident was received, Sadar Inspector Raj Kishore Sharma, Kasba SHO Amit Kumar, Jalalgarh SHO reached the spot and took out the dead bodies from under the pipe.
