Sensitivity Towards Public and Swift Resolution of Issues: DC Manjunath Bhajantri

EW Correspondent Ranchi: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri, in a meeting with senior district officials at the Collectorate, issued key directives aimed at improving administrative efficiency and public service delivery. He emphasized the importance of sensitivity towards citizens and transparency in office functioning.

Key Directives Issued:

  1. Sensitive Behavior Towards the Public:
    • Officials must ensure respectful interaction with citizens and promptly address their concerns.
    • Clear and accurate information should be provided to individuals about the relevant department and the resolution process for their issues.
  2. Mandatory Display of Identity Cards:
    • All employees and officers at the Collectorate must wear identity cards displaying their name and designation to enhance transparency. Visitors should easily identify the concerned officer or department.
  3. Nameplates on Office Tables:
    • All officials, clerks, accountants, and staff are to display nameplates on their office tables. This measure aims to foster a more approachable and professional environment.
  4. Dedicated WhatsApp Number for Grievances:
    • A 24/7 WhatsApp number will be launched to allow citizens to register their grievances.
    • DC directed the District Information and Science Officer to ensure round-the-clock monitoring of the number with a team assigned in shifts.
  5. Focus on Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana:
    • The DC highlighted the importance of effective implementation of the Jharkhand government’s flagship Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana to maximize its impact.
  6. Zero Tolerance for Unauthorised Absence:
    • Heads of departments were instructed to ensure punctuality among employees and that no one remains absent without prior approval.
  7. Timely Compliance with Directives:
    • All officials were instructed to ensure compliance with the meeting’s directives within the stipulated timeframe. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Development Commissioner, SDO Sadar Ranchi, ADM Law and Order Ranchi, District Transport Officer, Sub-Registrar, and other senior district-level officials. Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri reiterated his commitment to making the administration more citizen-friendly and accountable.
