New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will honor 6 gram panchayats of Bihar on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day. Present in Jammu and Kashmir, on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will honor the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti with the Deendayal Upadhyaya Panchayat Empowerment Award. A total of 12 awards have come in Bihar’s account. Sundari Gram Panchayat of Harnaut block of Nalanda district and Adharwara Gram Panchayat located in Hajipur block of Vaishali district have been selected for the award of Gram Panchayat Development Plan for Child Friendly Gram Panchayat.

On the other hand, in Nanaji Deshmukh National Gaurav Gram Sabha category, Gram Panchayat Mandil of Jehanabad block of Jehanabad district will be rewarded. For Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award, Manganpur Gram Panchayat of Bhagwanpur Block of Vaishali District, Mandilal Gram Panchayat of Jehanabad Block of Jehanabad District, Bikopur Gram Panchayat of Imamganj Block of Gaya District and Telihar Gram Panchayat of Beladore Block of Khagaria District are included. Apart from this, Zilla Parishad Nawada, Panchayat Samiti Vaishali, Itadi Panchayat Samiti of Buxar district, Lakhisarai Panchayat Samiti of Lakhisarai district, Islampur Panchayat Samiti of Nalanda district are included for the Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award.

According to Bihar’s Panchayati Raj Minister Samrat Chaudhary, on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day on April 24, the main program will be held in the Gram Panchayat Palli of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. Here Prime Minister Narendra Modi will honor the best performing district, block and gram panchayats together.
